Welcome back all!
I hope you all had a happy and restful Easter break!
We welcomed the children back on Wednesday to an Experience Easter session at the church. The children enjoyed spending time in the community and had a morning filled with exciting activities and stories from the bible.
On Thursday morning the children began their NMPAT Recorder Journey. This is a small musical project which they will take part in over the next 10 weeks. We are looking forward to then welcoming the school and parents in for a special performance!

Writing
The children began to innovate on our model text for Limerick poetry. Below is a copy of our model text version. The children have understood the structure of a Limerick being AABBA – Each line of the poem having to have a certain amount of syllables e.g. A – 7-10 syllables long and B – 5-7 syllables long.

Maths
The children have finished their unit of mass and capacity by adding and subtracting different volumes/capacity. On Friday the children completed an Arithmetic paper to see their developing understanding and knowledge of methods used to find the right answers.
Art
The children have built Ancient Egyptian Chariots which links in with our last terms topic on Ancient Egypt. The children enjoyed building and creating these. We used paper cups, card, paper straws, cardboard, thin pieces of wood and wheels. They followed a set of instructions in order to create these.
