Week Beginning 9th December
We have come to the end of yet another busy week. On Monday the children performed their Nativity, Whoopsa Daisy Angel & we were so proud of them. They are looking forward to performing this to the rest of the school on Monday next week.
On Wednesday morning we visited the church for Experience Christmas. The children listened to the story of Christmas and acted this out. They completed some Christmas crafts and finished the morning off by singing some Christmas songs. Afterwards, we returned to school for our Christmas lunch. The children were very excited to find the tables had been decorated with crackers and that there was a choice of orange or blackcurrant squash to drink instead of the usual water!
This week the children have been telling their own versions of The Enormous Turnip, by adding in their own root vegetable and some even chose to swap the characters around. Next week we are going to be making vegetable soup to finish this unit of work off ready for a new story in January.
