Maths
In Maths this week Year 1 have been using Numicon to compare numbers. We have been using ‘greater than, less than and equal to’ to compare numbers between 1 and 10.
Year 2 have been learning about estimating numbers on a numberline and they have been completing tricky challenges. Some of their challenges had numberlines to fill in where only the end point was given!
PE
In PE, we have been concentrating on enhancing our balance skills. This week, we took our practice further by learning to bend down and touch the floor while maintaining our balance on one leg. We engaged in a fun activity called ‘Mirror, Mirror,’ where we worked in pairs to mirror our partner’s movements without losing our balance.
Author Visit- Grumpy Rosetta and the Rainbow Castle
On Friday we were extremely lucky to have a visit from a local author. Juliet Timpson introduced us to her incredible book and we were able to engage with the characters by dressing up and using props to tell the story as she read it aloud.
