This week saw our Monday morning start off with Celebration assembly. The children were able to share any out of school achievements as well as celebrating star writers and star performers.
On Tuesday the children participated in a Juggling taster workshop. They enjoyed choosing from a range of activities and resources to use and showing the skills they had learnt in this session.
Writing
In Writing this week the children Hot Wrote a warning tale focusing on how you write an opening, the children used many features we have discussed as well as using key warning tale language to develop an understanding of how their characters may choose not to listen and because of this a bad thing occurs. They then ended the week with a cold write around diary entries and beginning their mapping of a diary entry which links to our previous unit.
Maths
This week the children have learnt how to multiply a 2 digit by a 1 digit number with exchange and no exchange as well as looking at the link between division and multiplication. They have also completed an arithmetic lesson based on fractions and division.
