This week saw our Monday morning assembly discussing the importance of The Rule of Law which is one of our 5 main British Values in school. Children can now add this to their understanding of Tolerance and Mutual Respect.
On Tuesday the children had a taster session for Jadokuindo which is a type of Martial Arts. The children enjoyed this and received a leaflet to bring home stating when and where the club would be running.
Writing
In Writing this week the children have been warm writing their own warning tales with a focus on openings. It has been really lovely to see all of their ideas spring to life and embed the features of this text type we have been learning about. I look forward to their hot writes next week.
Maths
This week the children have been looking at consolidation of the 2,4 and 8 times tables, using multiples of ten to support us when multiplying by 2 digit numbers and linked in our related facts and fact families. It is important for the children to build a greater understanding for the 3, 4 and 8 times tables in year 3 so please do continue to practice at home by accessing TTRockstars or Hit the button (Below).
