This week has been very exciting! Monday and Tuesday welcomed our wonderful LifeSpace in who delivered a fantastic set of PSHE lessons to all children across the school – Pictures on the right. On Wednesday we all went over to the Castle theatre to watch Peter Pan. The children thoroughly enjoyed this and were very excitable upon return to school.
Writing
In Writing this week the children have finished their hot writes surrounding Geography – the capital cities or countries of the UK. They were able to research their own images on iPads to discover what landmarks and places look like in order to include them in their writing pieces. Towards the end of the week the children have been looking closely at their next unit of work – which is a warning tale. They have been shown the model text and have also begun to map these.
Maths
This week in Maths the children have started a new unit of learning around Multiplication and Division. We have delved into equal groups, arrays and reviewing and becoming confident with the 2 times tables – consolidating this knowledge from KS1.
Computing
The children have been creating their own iMotion animations on iPads. By taking photos and only changing one part of their body movement ever so slightly. Joining all of the images together then created a small animation with movement and motion included. The children were extremely tech savvy in this lesson and very much enjoyed it.
