This week we have had an assembly on Anti-bullying lead by Mrs Clarke! In this assembly we touched on some key points with regards to bullying and ways in which we can promote kindness and open up to those we trust if we feel uncomfortable with a situation. On Tuesday we had church assembly which was led by the local church in the Village.
Writing
In Writing this week we hot wrote our Instructions text. The children came up with some fantastic ideas and shared a deeper understanding for how to hook the reader within their introductions. Next unit is all about the Capital cities and countries of the UK in Geography.
Maths
This week in Maths we have extended our learning of column method to include subtraction over 10 and 100. The children have been able to visualise the differences between carrying and exchanging with the two methods. We look forward to putting these skills to the test in our next Arithmetic learning.
DT
This week in DT the children finished their introduction learning of Tapestry/Embroidery for our unit which is based on the Viking ‘Bayeux Tapestry’. The children have developed an understanding for the differences between both Tapestry and Embroidery.
