Week Beginning 7th October
We have come to the end of yet another busy week! The children have continued to learn about harvest this week & we looked at the journey of bread from the field to the shop. They then enjoyed making toast for snack & of course needed to wash up their plate!
Literacy
The children have been learning the story of The Little Red Hen, using the actions and a story map to help them talk the story. They used their knowledge of phonics to write the speech bubbles for the animals in the story, remembering how to form the letters correctly.
They have also been accessing resources in the classroom to spell simple words.
Maths
This week the children have been comparing groups of objects saying who has more, who has the same & who has fewer.
