Week Beginning 30th September
This week has flown by and the children have been super busy! Thank you to all those parents who were able to attend our Book and Biscuit session, the children really look forward to these.
Literacy
The children have been learning the story of The Gingerbread Man, using the actions and a story map to help them talk the story.
In phonics this week the children continued to word build using Fred talk and magnetic letters to spell the words.
Maths
This week the children have been using their subitising skills to say how many items they can see. They have been looking at and making different patterns of the number 4, using cubes and counters. Then the children have been using words such as straight across and diagonal to describe those patterns.
Also this week the children have been learning about Harvest and Autumn and the changes they may start to see. They enjoyed creating leaf prints and paperplate scarecrows.
The children have been introduced to the use of helmets when riding the bikes, trikes and scooters. They have been amazing at remembering to wear them and helping each other put them on.
